2019 ISAL Award for Education and Outreach using Artificial Life
For the authors of an outstanding project that either teaches about Artificial Life or uses Artificial Life techniques to teach about another topic, or inspires users to learn more on their own.
Winner:@ALifePapers Twitter account (by Dr. Lana Sinapayen)
受賞に際し、シナパヤは以下コメントしています。
"I am grateful to the comittee and to the members of the ALife community who nominated me for the 2019 ISAL Award for Education and Outreach using Artificial Life. The @ALifePapers twitter account was born 10 months ago from my desire for a shared space where advances in ALife would be aggregated not only for the benefit of the community, but also to share with anyone outside the community wondering what we are up too. An informal poll revealed that most scientists who use Twitter use it as their primary source for finding new papers, as their friends and colleagues retweet the most interesting science news in their feed. Several people expressed interest in following a twitter account entirely focused on ALife papers, and I decided to give it a try. On this day (August 2019), the account has between 30 and 70 thousands views per month, with the most popular tweet cumulating 30K views. This makes it a good platform for ALife researchers to share their publications. "
