We are developing Integral Illumination, a next-generation lighting technology that allows a single panel-shaped device to mimic the illumination effects of a wide range of light sources, e.g., spotlight, chandelier, sunlight, etc. The technology relies on an optical principle similar to that used in creating glasses-free 3D displays. Through fine control of the lightscape, the technology makes it possible for users to dynamically alter the ambience of an environment with high degrees of freedom.
