Alessandro Londei

Alessandro Londei is a researcher at Sony CSL – Rome, leading the Augmented Creativity team.With a background in physics and a PhD in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, his career has focused on cognitive modeling—both in developing artificial models and analyzing cognitive processes using innovative inspection techniques, such as functional magnetic resonance imaging. His primary research revolves around theoretically and practically modeling creativity through machine learning and AI.  In addition to his scientific pursuits, he has enjoyed a long and fulfilling artistic career in music, theater, and opera, which has allowed him to experience creative processes firsthand. This dual perspective has significantly deepened his understanding of the mechanisms behind creativity and imagination.
